Classic Devil May Cry Games Have Been "Retired" On Steam

Devil May Cry fans looking to experience two of the older games in their original release format are out of luck, as Devil May Cry 3 and 4 have been removed from the Steam marketplace. Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available for purchase on the digital marketplace, but they are still available in other editions as the threequel is included in the HD Collection. Meanwhile, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is still up for sale, alongside Devil May Cry 5 and Ninja Theory’s underrated DmC: Devil May Cry.

As for why Capcom has taken down the two DMC games, the Steam Database (via PCGamesN) revealed that both games had been updated with a publisher request to be “retired” from the storefront. Other online sites like Green Man Gaming and Humble are still offering keys for these titles, although it’s likely that they’ll be sold out soon.
